My Palm Vx PDA (handheld) crashed. When I buy a new PDA, can I transfer data from the desktop to the new PDA?

Tried to uninstall Epocrates program from my handheld Palm Vx and it froze. Can’t even turn it on. Trying to decide on a new PDA now. Will I need to stay in the PALM family to transfer all my desktop data?
